The purpose of the Tennessee Coordinated School Health is to focus on improving the health of

Tennessee youth through a coalition of schools, individuals, communities, organizations and business. 

Our goals are to:                                                         

• Reduce absenteeism

• Fewer classroom behavior problems

• Improve academic performance       

• Greater interest in healthy diets                                                                                   

• Increase interest in healthy diets

• Increased participation in fitness activities

• Delayed onset of certain health risk behaviors

• Less smoking among students and staff

• Lower rates of teen pregnancy
